Sermons and Bible
Studies from Narkis Street

Entire library of Audio Sermons and Bible studies can be purchased through our bookstore and downloaded as a single zip file.

Download recordings of sermons preached from the late Robert L. Lindsey's pulpit at Jerusalem's historic Narkis Street Congregation. These sermons were delivered at the congregation's weekly, Saturday-morning worship service. The Bible studies listed below were given at the congregation's weekly, Saturday-morning Bible study. In these sermons and Bible Studies, four of Pastor Lindsey's students (New Testament scholars, Randall Buth, Steven Notley, Halvor Ronning and David Bivin) express their faith in Jesus and attempt to build up members of their congregation.

The sermons "The Strength of Weakness," "Ruth 3: Putting Your History Behind You" and "Matthew 5:5: Blessed Are the Meek" are unrestricted and available to all as samples.

To listen to the other recordings, you must purchase Premium Content membership. If you are already a member, just login.

Due to the size of these files if you are using a dial-up connection you may want to use a download manager.

The Lord's Prayer

  • Listen to a Hebrew Reconstruction of the Lord's Prayer! (300k)

The Greek of the Lord's Prayer is so chocked with Hebrew phrases and idioms that we may assume that Jesus taught it to his disciples in Hebrew. Since many of our readers have expressed a desire to hear the Lord's Prayer in Hebrew, we are making available an audio version of the prayer (read deliberately so that beginning Hebrew students can hear each syllable clearly). The reader is David Bivin, and the text is a reconstruction suggested by him.

Below is the suggested text of the prayer with its transliteration:
